This beautiful park in the 6th arrondissement was created in 1612 by order of Marie di Medici. There are chairs and benches all over the park where you can relax and make yourself comfortable. If you’re lucky, an orchestra sometimes plays in the pavilion in the park.
In the centre of the park is the beautiful large fountain, where children can let sailboats sail in summer. However, there is also a large playground (admission fee). Directly at the playground there is even a puppet theatre which offers shows 2-3 times a week. These are only in French, but you can understand the content without any knowledge of French. Next to the playground there is a small restaurant and there are several snack and crêpebars in the park.
A free public toilet, even with practical small children’s toilets, is located directly at the tennis rental/restaurant.
Quest: In the park stands the original model of the Statue of Liberty. Can you find them?
